Afternoon all,

I have an ever growing stack of old copies of Singletrack magazines. And some Privateer. And the first edition of Cranked.

Any (polite) suggestions of what I could do with them before they head to the recycling bin?

They are all in perfect condition, and it seems a shame to chuck them.

If anyone wants them, please shout.

Cheers,

Paul

Privateer is Mary Millington starring in them?

I had a bit of a clearout of old MTB mags including all the old issues of ST. There was about two massive wheelbarrow loads, stuff going back to the 90's. I put them all through a mates letterbox in case he wanted a read :o) I was there for a good 30 minutes posting these through one at a time.

I think that may be a different Privateer.

We've done this a few times before. There isn't really much demand, but what I do is sneak them into the pile of stuff to read in various waiting areas - barbers, doctors, dentist etc, to provide some balance against the dark forces of Hello and Homes and Gardens.

I dropped a load off in my Dentist's waiting room.

Crap. Does that mean I have to go to the dentist?

That's very interesting, but what about the magazines?

@tootallpaul

There are a few issues that I am missing so I would be happy to send you some beer tokens and pay for you to send them to me if that is ok?

Feel free to message me. Details are in my forum profile.

Cheers

Sanny

My plan was to carefully cut the covers off to decorate a wall in the man cave. They ended up in recycling 😐

I've got (I'm pretty sure) each and every Singletrack magazine from when I first subscribed; issue 16 in 2004... must really do something about finding them all a happy home.

Keep them for when we run out of Gas, you will be glad of their potential to warm the house next winter.

I have all issues of Singletrack but have been thinking they need to go. Mind you I do like to keep first issues of magazines. Just had a look and I also have issue 1 of MTB Pro, Mountain Bike World, Volksworld, Classic VWs and Ultra VWs. No prizes for guessing my interests.

I still regret getting rid of my Dirt magazines. Especially when you see them selling on Ebay for £7.50 each now!

I do like an old bike magazine and would be interested in a few I am sure. Maybe a Classified list with the available ones listed. Assuming you can be bothered posting them all?

I had every copy of Singletrack from issue three.
When we moved house 12 months ago i tried to give them to various different places/people.
Just ended up putting them in the recycling in the end.
Have since cancelled my mag subscription so i don't get the same problem again.

No gas where we live but you might have a point about using them in the stove, especially with the rocketing price of heating oil...

I’ve also got them all from No1 till now and most of them are subscribers clean cover editions. Thinking about time I stopped my subscription. Just no room any more ☹️
