Bloody hell, I've been drunk and bid too much on FleaBay before, but I don't think I could drink that much!! 😯

I know education is going down the pan in this country, but come on.... getting the decimal point in the right place is the basics!!

That is a very bonny bike, pretty much every nut and bolt is interesting - easily worth the money for someone who wants one.

It's a BMC, with a compact chainset.

It's only worth 2k as it's Cadel's winning bike.

And it started at 99p with no reserve.
Two people are very happy anyway, apart from someone calling it a lemon 🙄

I know some pricks that spent twice that on rigid steel bikes with only a quarter of the gears that that one has! there's one born every minute.

Thanet Silverlights are rare and the components on that can be bloody expensive to buy and a problem to source if restoring a classic British road bike.I have seen a pair of Blumels noweight mudguards make 400 quid on ebay

Thanet Silverlight, that's a top end British classic.
You'll find some 'unusual' engineering around the B/B, but yes it's rare and just about ticks every box in the collectors book.

Check out classiclightweights
