Have an old tablet currently used as a kitchen TV/recipe thingy.
Any app suggestions to turn it in to a photo frame when it's not in use? The built in Daydream app would be ideal, but it's limited in one key respect- no timer. So, it's on when charging, which is fine, but I'd prefer something that can be set to run a slideshow if the tablet is idle during waking hours, but reverts to just being off at night.

Could you use Tasker to control daydream? Googling the two suggests it might be possible. Trying to make it work will either frustrate or amuse you depending on your mindset. It's not something I'd enjoy.
