Just watched it, my missus is balling her eyes out - might have to go veggie now. It's pretty good at making you feel really guilty.

Maybe I can convince her to just eat chicken or something? 😀

Watched this last night and really enjoyed it. I thought I was holding together pretty well until the final scenes with the 'adoption'.

Put me in mind of Miyazaki in terms of the narrative, the visual style and the themes. Really well done, not too sentimental, but enough to make you think. Certainly didn't come across as aggressively preachy like some films of this ilk can. Jake Gillenhall really got on my nawks though. Thoroughly unlikeable, but not even in an 'entertainingly, likably unlikable' way.

If this is the future of filmmaking, count me in. I can't see anything like this being a big cinematic success, but on Netflix they've got the potential audience that can make it financially viable.

Yeah, except for the complete lack of an actual spoiler, just something that someone who has watched it will get.
