Have had 2 weeks of having a few belly issues and needing the toilet more than usual, put it down to anxiety mainly
Then today the bowl is literally full of blood. I wouldn’t say particularly light or dark..but it’s hard to say when it’s mixed in with shit
Bit of context..
10 years ago I had a few streaks of blood on my poo which turned out to be a polyp that was removed and I was subsequently given the camera up the ass treatment at 3 yearly intervals, both clear (last one 40 months ago) and told I didn’t need to come back
I’m now quite literally shitting it and waiting for the doc to call. Obviously I’m thinking ‘cancer’, but any other more benign causes? And no it’s definitely not piles, or a hang over from a monster pegging session from the other half
I'd be down A&E mate. All the best.
Beetroot? Or just blown a small blood vessel round your ringpiece?
Seeing you've had polyps before, it's most likely going to be polyps again.
They do grow back, or you grow new ones.
Have had polypectomies 3 times now, although mine were up the nose not up the bum.
And don't forget, a little bit of blood goes a long way when it's mixed with water.
Anyway, Good luck, and hopefully the Doc calls back soon and gets you looked at.
Doctor ASAP. If it was as simple as a pile or tear it would be bright red. The fact it’s mixed in means it’s coming from higher up.
Never thought pegging would end up on STW - can only imagine how many coffees will be spilled on reading that 🙂
OTOH, lets hope you've just had a minor blowout of some kind
Have had 2 weeks of having a few belly issues and needing the toilet more than usual, put it down to anxiety mainly
That sounds strangely familiar, and I'm contacting the GP tomorrow as I'm off work.
Nothing as unpleasant as the OP has had, but not resolving itself so better safe than sorry.
All the best OP - I suspect most of these sort of issues turn out to be not as serious as we imagine them to be.
I'm voting for more polyps. Never thought I'd say that after having some quite big ones removed, but if you've had them in the past you might be prone to them.
If the blood is red its coming from the end of the pipeworks somewhere. If its from further up its black and sticky.
Red is worrying. black stickyness is very alarming
altered bowel habit is also a sign that needs investigating
Sounds to me like polyps again
GP ASAP
I had black and sticky last year. Thought I was brown bread. Turned out to be a bleeding stomach ulcer. ☹️
Any update?
He's on the loo again Ernie!
So I spoke to doc who basically didn’t even mention cancer, said it was probably a bacterial infection of some kind and the amount of pooing I’ve been doing has caused the bleeding. So I need to hand in a specimen of blood soaked shit tomorrow for analysis
That said I’m not going to wait for months to get to the bottom of this so I called Bupa and they referred me to see a consultant in a few weeks.
Couple of things I have in my favour are bowel cancer is incredibly rare in the under 50s in Scotland (around 200 cases a year) and most cases develop over many years from polyps, which I was clear of 3 years ago. Fingers crossed..
Or it might be piles?
So I spoke to doc who basically didn’t even mention cancer
I hope you did! GPs love it when you inform them that you've googled your symptoms and that it's definitely cancer. It saves them a lot of time 😉
Good luck digging around for a sample tomorrow morning.
And I'm sure they'll get to the bottom of the problem.
GP asking you to shit in a pot indicates it's being taken seriously.
Don't discount internal piles - not all are external; you could have them but don't know as you can't see or feel them...without the lubed latex glove.
Fingers crossed.
Crossed fingers is just sadistic, lubed or not lubed.

:Lolz@ Ernie!
Best of luck tpbiker!
Best of luck.
Getting stuff like this checked is really important, without going into details my wife is still here because she got what was thought to be a minor issue by the GP checked properly last year. It's been a tough time and not what we expected at 43 but it could have been a lot worse.
Hope it's all benign dude.
... to get to the bottom of this
Just me?
Thanks for posting on this - really hope your issues are resolved.
Someone else may have read this and taken action that they wouldn't have otherwise 🙂
supersessions9-2 - glad it wasn't worse. A similar thing happened with a colleague about the same age.
... at least we know what the tp means now tpbiker presumably you've got plenty in stock.
cougar - glad it wasn't just me.
Any blood in your poop, get thee to the doc.
I began experiencing this at the start of last spring, around my 50th birthday. Altered bowl habits swinging from bouts of constipation to phases of the squits. The constipated poop often ended up with blood showing in it, which I put down to piles popping because of the 'strain of passage'.
I put off going to the doc as I didn't want to bother them when they were swamped with the first lockdown and also, I'd convinced myself I had IBS as the symptoms kept coming and going. Anyway, it was late summer when lockdown ended that I finally called my GP after excluding all the fun things from my diet and going through all the over the counter remedies I could think of.
Poop was sent away the next day and within 48hrs I was contacted for more examinations.
I'm alive!!!
I'd left it so long that Trevor the Tumour was in an advanced stage and very large, but the amazing staff at the Beatson in Glasgow, and Forth Valley Royal, hit me with a relatively new, intense treatment protocol that has been showing great results. I had a course of radiotherapy that was condensed into 5 days rather than the normal 5 weeks, then 3 months of very high dose chemotherapy. This effectively hammered Trevor so much that in his retreat he pumped me full of clotting factors in revenge. So my cancer treatment had a three month hiatus while the docs cleared all the pulmonary embolisms from my lungs. After that, I had surgery to remove the remains of Trevor then a five month break until last Monday when I had corrective surgery to reconnect all my plumbing and stuff it all back inside where it's supposed to be.
I'm all sorted now, just slowly recovering and aware of how very, very lucky I've been. However, I'm also very much aware of all the heartache and worry I could have saved myself if I'd just picked up the phone the first time I saw traces of blood in my jobbies.
No matter your age, or gender. Blood in your poop? Get it looked at!
Craig xx
Well that's a sombre lesson beagleboy.
Yesterday I visited a very close friend of mine who I have known for over 30 years in the critical care unit at Guy's hospital. They are repeatedly trying to remove fluid from her lungs so that they can begin chemo for her ovarian cancer which was diagnosed 2 months ago.
The whole situation feels like an neverending nightmare. Your story of going to the brink and bouncing back really gives me hope.
For many people space exploration holds holds huge wonder, for me it is advanced modern medicine.
Kinell.
Stay safe everyone.
