New website 'upgrade'

I have to register some new security. None of which is 'remembered' by the site. Call handlers feign surprise each time I call, and suggest they have no problems (facebook and twitter suggest otherwise).
Three times I have had to re-register.
New site crashes on iPad.
New site has script that keeps stalling on windows laptop.
New site has occasional security warning on firefox or chrome - as not secure.
I'm off to another bank.

Smile are owned by Co-Op aren't they?

I'm with Co-op and their website has recently been 'upgraded'. It does work for me on Mac and iPhone - but the whole site looks like it's been thrown together by sixth form students. A complete shambles.

Can concur - I've not had to log in for a while before today so presumed the new site wasn't all that new. Setting up a login was no problem although in choosing a password I would have preferred to know how the password would then be used - was expecting to be asked for a couple of letters (as I am with Santander) - not the whole thing otherwise I'd have chosen something shorter and easier to type.

Once in, the main niggle is the page is huge even through theres not much on the page it - for the page to be functional I have to have it full screen on my lappy, which makes it difficult to refer to information I might have in another window / app - like transcribing account details for a payee from an email.

Also when paying a recurring bill today (i.e. one where the payee's details were stored) the last digit from the customer ref number was missing which I'd I hadn't notice would have meant money going out of my account fine but the utility co I was paying not knowing who it was from.

Not off to a flying start - they'd only just redesigned the site a few months ago and took ages to iron the kinks out of that.

Yes correct site 😉

I'm in again now, but I've had enough.

Even the phone line has a 'sorry about that email sent out, it was wrong' message.

It was way ahead of its time when I first signed up.

I'm disappointed by the new site. It does work for me and I'm hoping I will get used to it but I'm not happy yet.

Especially as I wrote a small essay for the password I have to enter in full every time...

I'm just moving banks.

The new one even bribed me with lots of cold, hard cash, and promise of a better system....

They are a shower of sh1t, move to FirstDirect.

They are not really part of the main coop group and there is nothing ethical about them (out sourcing and teams going off shore).
You'd be much better off else where (and so would anyone else you know that banks with them).

After 13 years of decent customer service with happy helpful advisors it appears
That decision makers within the business are doing their best to drive things onto
The rocks. The refreshed website is unbelievably bad, unnecessarily complicated and hard to navigate around.
Would have been Cutting edge in 1997 but the numbers of punters they are loosing over this dog breakfast must be big - next stop for me
Is First Direct. It has to be asked htf was this ever signed off.

Yep, I have both Co-op and Smile and yesterday signing in it took me to the 'new' website. I actually called them up as it looked so bad I thought there was no way a company would put something out like that - clearly a hoax or phishing site.

Can't get to the login page at all today. Maybe that means they're making a vast swathe of fixes and improvements!
