Cheap and no frills good curry within the area of Bradford rail station.
Going to have a wonder around the Saltaire mill and village in the afternoon, so should be a good day with ending it in a £20 Travel Lodge 😀

Thanks.....

Which station, which Travel lodge?

Karachi - v cheap. Neal St.
Kashmir- cheap. Morley St.
Both in roughly same area and both very old.

Punjab - bit dearer but my favourite, Listerhills Lane.

I've always gone to the Aagrah after the Saltaire Beer Festival, for a long time now.

I love the Hyderabadi Lamb they do there, and they sell a fantastic paperback recipe book.

I missed it last year, though, so can't vouch as to whether they have maintained their high standards during their apparent quest for world domination. They are certainly opening a lot of restaurants.

Edit: having said that, it isn't the cheapest, isn't no frills, and isn't near Bradford railway station.

Other than that, I think it might be bang on the money 😉

Thanks very much for the recommendations, spot on and will try either the Aagrah, which is up the road or if we venture into the centre, will try Punjab.
Lets hope the beer club lives up to it's great reputation !

Presumably you'll be all beered out but if not The Fighting Cock is the one for traditional and The Sparrow for the moderne. The Cock is conveniently located round the corner from the Punjab 🙂

+1 for the aagrah next to cobb and jagger motorcycles (if its still there) and order a family sized naan.... 😯 😀

Fannys ale house is pretty good if you fancy a couple before hitting the brewery.

oh and try to resist visiting all terrain cycles at salts mill 😉

Another vote for Fannys, Aagrah is nice but not as good as Shimla just up the road (you'll have to take your own beer in). While you're down at the brewery have a Yorkshire Hog pork sandwich to keep you going 😀
