TBH i'm a bit meh about it as i'm expecting a load of average pubs chock with beery blokes and families having fish and chips for tea. What i'm hoping for is one of you to tell me that it's actually the UK's equivalent of a Miami spring break & Las Vegas combined.
Go on then, which is it?
theres loads of birds in Whitby

Buy a bag of chips, that'll make you popular with all the birds.
😆 @ dirtyrider.
Whitby's a nice place and I've had a few good night's out there, but I'm not sure I'd go there for my stag do!!
Although that's coming from someone who has his stag do in Keswick!!
It is not really an obvious Stag Do location, unless you are going for a literary theme ? Then you can all dress as Dracula. I went for a weekend there once with my ladies bookreading club, the pubs are quite ahem slightly classier Blackpool. We found a nice shudder "Gastropub".
So if by women you mean middle aged middle class librarians, you are in for an awesome time.
If you meet someone nice, you could take her up the Abbey
You could even get your kipper smoked !!!!
I'm going to Whitby tomorrow for a child free weekend away with Mrs Wombat 😉 The weather forecast is for rain tomorrow, looks as though we'll have to stay inside.....
Do you fancy Goths?
There have been a few stag and hen dos the last 3 years I've been (we go for our anniversary each year as we had our super-luxury mad expensive once in a lifetime honeymoon there)- the seem to stick to the north side of the harbour and all looked to be having an alright do of it to me.
If you're not careful you could end up catching crabs:

Please tell me Whitby isn't a traditional Hen or Stagdo location? Its just a mates having beers type thing?
Saddens me if its the former.
Did a medieval show at the Abbey few yrs back, around the time Pirates of the Caribbean was out. After the show loads of us dressed up as pirates (reenactors tend to have very good dressing up boxes) and went for a trip on the Endeavour replica, complete with swords and pistols!
After the boat ride we wandered around the harbour to see one of the other medieval groups outside a pub still in their medieval kit, complete with polearms. As they were barracking us across the road, a hen party appeared all dressed as Mexicans..
Medieval soldiers, pirates, and Mexicans, it got rather messy after that!
