Off to Blackpool lights tonight with 3 generations of the family. Where is the best place to park for having a walk about? Ages range from 2 to 71 so we can’t walk for miles.

Ta.

p.s. Having a chippy tea too! Can’t wait!

I parked on a car park here when we went a few weeks ago. £1.50 for all night. Went in the back way too to miss all the traffic.

Like Junkyard said: go early. Park outside t'other end of the pleasure beach and get the tram down the front as the traffic is mental!!

Chips on the Northern Riviera. Who could ask for more?

Oh... and let us know how the new Comedy Carpet looks in the flesh. I'm dying to see it

Theres bike hire available from the bike stands, like the boris bikes in londonium.

Park at the south then tram around town, get a traveller ticket.

We're driving to Manchester tonight, then hitting Blackpool for a full day tomorrow, finishing with the lights.

Last year we parked next to the station, behind the Pleasure Beach.

We're down for a family weekend, visiting my wife's uncle. Tonight's drinking is limited to the Inn Keeper's Lodge on the Stockport road.

Blackpool - I'm back at my Grandmas house going to Stanley Park to go on the boats and then in to town to visit friends who run a cafe and eat as many chips as any kid could ever want.

We went back 3 years ago with 3 generations of the family as it was my mum and dad's 50th wedding anniversary and they got married and at the time lived in Blackpool. They'd hired one of the really old trams and we saw the lights from that which was fantastic. A few members of the family had had to drop out due to ill health so my dad told the driver to pick up anyone else who fancied a ride.
Spent a day on the pleasure beach as well which was great - those wooden roller-coasters really are something special.

And as a result, Olly will turn into one of those people who spend 100s of £s on bike lights! Have a good time.

I'd say your best bet would be to go back roads to Clevelies, park up there and catch the Tram down to Starr Gate, then come back and hop off at Bispham for chips. Go to the chippy about 0.5mile down Redbank road on the left hand side, not the 2 at the top, they are shit and give shit portions.

Stopped at Wors' car park.

Walked the prom.

Stood on the Comedy Carpet and took pictures of the words FORK, OCTOPUS & PLONKER and a poster with JOEY BLOWER written on it.

Tea in Whetherspoons.

Drove through the lights (1h 5m) and nearly hit some bint driving a horse drawn carriage.
