I've been watching lots of 'Deadliest Journeys' documentaries on Youtube. Sounds like it will be bad reality shows but these are actual old French TV documentaries dubbed into English. Some of the ways people live/work/travel (or did at the time anyway) are astonishing. Eg
I've been to Nepal and seen some of this kind of thing but it's still totally fascinating to me. The S American place where they use zip wires to cross a valley is pretty extraordinary too.
