Have a week off coming up and we are staying near tutbury castle with a little fortitude it appears I need to take my bike.. Anything I should or shouldn't be riding?
I live nearby. There's ridiculously little bridleway in this part of Staffordshire. Cannock about 30mins away will be your best bet for bang for the buck if you're time limited. Otherwise head up to peak or across to Derby.
There's all the routes around Ticknall, about 20 mins driving away. just pleasant scenic Xc though & not technical.
Yeah, you're in nice road riding country there but better off drivngto Cannock for MTB. It's not far at all, probably 20 miles or less, I've ridden past Tutbury castle on my road rides from Cannock
