I thought they must have been using the office as a polling station.

I thought maybe the forum admins didn't want the hassle of election day bickering.

Just came in to see if they were still at it.

My polling station is at the pub. So I'll be popping in for a quick beer when I vote ?

Wish my polling station was at a pub. It's in a church hall. I also get struck by lightning being a lapsed catholic visiting a Methodist church - double whammy.

I was so bereft I went for a bicycle ride today. On one of those off-road bicycles of all things! Oh and a lovely walk first thing with Mrs Bloke to our village hall to cast our votes. We were the only ones there so chatted for a good while with the two volunteers. In fact, it's been a good day so far. Don't take the forum down too often, this non-virtual stuff could catch on!

I was beginning to think the servers had been hacked to take down the huge political influence that the site has on days like today

My first thought was that the site had gone into meltdown as everyone piled in with election day fever 🙂

I’ve done a lovely mixed media 50 miler on the gravel bike. I assumed the southerly headwind on the way home was due to all the hot air of election waffle. I’ve made a point of not watching or listening to the news since it was announced.

I went to vote and the volunteer commented on my lack of hair vs my ID, if she only realised the stress of not having STW there all morning!

Voted. dog walk, bike ride. Pub. Dog walk, bit of bike fettling. Cooked tea. Now watching Andy and Jamie on Centre Court. I was rostered to work nightshift tonight but took a day's holiday. Couldn't miss the election night specials.

Been stuck in an airport most of the day, gutted STW was offline. Making up for it now sitting in a bar in Crete sipping whatever the local beer is. Is 28 degrees and 11:30 here.
