I have a new office printer on network.
The old model was nearly the same.
I have uninstalled the old printer(s). There is no printer installed according to Windows 8.1
All my Office2013 programmes however can see the old office printer and one from a school a few months back - and both have a document waiting to print. But I cannot access print queue as they are not 'installed'.
I cannot install the new printer, as it claims (being shared driver) that the old one is there, on same I.P., and there is a document printing...
Help?
Not sure on win8 but worth a try
Stop the print spooler in services
Delete all files in C:\windows\system32\spool\printers (or similar)
Windows I'd better than in the old days. But I don't understand why we can't just have a big button that clears all the print ques over riding everything. That would solve 90 percent of the problems I have ever had since Windows 7
Some times I can get the trouble shooter wizard to clear print ques
Cheers all, I now have working printer - but I also have list of old printers that do not exist anymore and I cannot access anywhere....
Next step to re-install Office 2013 I think...
