The original Fields Of The Nephilim.
Also a band who used to gig around London in the late 80s called The Otherside.

They just should, because Favourite Shirt and Fantastic Day are like aural time machines.

The Wildhearts are currently semi-reformed, or possibly semi-split, it's hard to tell with that lot. Anyway, they're the most experienced reformers of all time and should do it again.

Proper Sepultura? No offence to Derrick Green but they've never been the same without Max, and the most interesting thing Soulfly have ever done is play Seps songs.

Anything older than that I wouldn't be remotely interested.

Anyone who has seen Slash with Miles Kennedy knows that GnR are best left in history. Axl and his chums touring now aren't even in tribute band territory, and that's when they turn up on time.

Devs, been there and done that.

Original GNR line up back together would be explosive. Either awesome or awful, but I would still buy tickets. As would hundreds of thousands of others.

That'll never happen, mores the pity. It wouldn't be the same with a different keyboard player. R.I.P. Richard Wright.

POSTED 1 HOUR AGO # REPORT-POST

Saw GnR last year and thought they were great even though they came on stage 2 hours late they played a 3 hour set. That was a late night.

And yes I have seen them with the original line up. Twice.

Funny how everything was roses when we held on to the guns...

Please, for the love of God, no! Musically, they're ok, but Axl's godawful caterwauling should be classed as a crime against humanity.
Bands I'd like to see reform:
Talk Talk
Tiger
Linoleum
Lush
Kenickie
Dark Star
Genesis w/Gabriel
There's only two there I've never seen.

Aye, always feel lucky that I saw them on the Roots tour before Max left, wish I could have seen then during the Arise and Chaos AD tours.

Pantera original lineup

Really? I preferred them after Phil Anselmo joined. Before that...

Some random ones:
Thin White Rope were really starting to get together a powerful sound with The Ruby Sea, but split immediately after. Think due to pressure of constant touring without getting the commercial break.

Red red meat were a Chicago band in the 90s on sub pop that put out a superb album with Bunny gets paid - seriously miles better than the stuff around at that time. Didn't take hold and they folded after one other album.
Slint have passed into the pantheon, but they only relased one full album and never had success at the time. They have re-formed for one-off gigs now and again but would be great to see them try some new material.

It's not like I'm desperate to see these bands as of 2012 or anything, more like it's a shame that they never received the recognition they deserved for their talents so it would be nice to see them receive that second time round.

A band who did get recognition but badly need to get their shit together is At the drive in / the Mars Volta. If the bloke who left and is not in the Volta could just get back in and sort Omar out you'd be looking at the best rock band on the planet. Think they're too far gone for that to happen though.

Guns and Roses

... and the other positive comments +1

I've seen them all in thier various guises, with the current GnR being fantastic, Slash with Myles playing well etc.

It'd be a global headline making re-union, anarcic and pretty much every fan'd sign up for tickets.

Awesome stuff....

The proper CuD , not the one with the guitarist who couldn't hack it a while back

O.p.- I work with a fella who used to manage/help out the Neph.

I assume they're just calling to agree?

😀

The Wildhearts are in my Top One Bands of All Time, but Ginger doesn't really need to reform them, does he? His solo gigs are packed with Wildhearts tunes, being played by ex-Wildhearts, to crowds of Wildhearts fans. And then there's his solo stuff, including this:

http://www.pledgemusic.com/artists/gingerwildheart

Which hit it's target in 6 hours, rather than the 6 months he was hoping for.

But yes, the Wildhearts will reform anyway. That's what they do.

😀

Sorry, forgot about that.
It's because Axl Rose is a complete prick. He just keeps the rest of the band waiting... because he can. (MrsDezB did some work for them)

Well, others (even Axl) have used the word "eccentric". Slash described "...his mind just works in different inexplicable ways than other peoples..."

So he's eccentric, thinks he's one of the biggest stars in rock history (well, he is). I was still happy to wait 2hrs to see them. I'd waited 10/15 years so another 2 hours wasn't gonna trouble me TBH.

Maybe I'd feel differently if I didn't think GnR were absolute crap, but to treat the people who've put you where you are with such disdain... he also won't let any other band members near him until they are onstage.
Flies to gigs in a separate private jet from them too.
But, there you go, each to their own eh? 🙂

That's the biggest anticlimax I've heard since my Uncle bought a job lot of Viagra. I was waiting for some insider gossip there, rather than confirmation of what everyone knew anyway.

I assume they're just calling to agree?

Well, yeah, alright, in Terrorvision's case it just feels like they've reformed more times than Spinal Tap's had drummers.

Mate of mine's a big fan of the Wildhearts, so I get all the Ginger related news sort of by reverse osmosis.

Cougar- have to hand it to Terrorvision, they might not reform as often as some, but they do it with unparalleled jawdropping cheek. Last ever gig ever! EVER!

Zippy- the vinyl was pretty desirable but I think the CD never really became very collectible. Might be worth trying their forum, WHs fans tend to be mental obsessives.

Freakishly, I once saw GNR come on stage late and it wasn't Axl's fault. Never to be repeated gig-going experience that.
