I was trying to find out the name of a small hiking stove I used to own and stumbled across this website:

https://classiccampstoves.com/

That is pretty niche. I was amused to see that they have a members only 'Action Gallery':

"No studio shots here! - Only photo's of stoves in use. Let's have your photo's so we can see your stoves in action in all corners of the world."

I happened across a forum frequented by fans of Raleigh Twenty’s - with nerdy conversations about versions badged as Hercules or Triumph, rare examples of Raleigh 22s and the Twenty’s arch rival - the Dawes Kingpin.

One particular poster seemed to be in over his depth with an N+1 fleet of twenties that he was variously restroring and modifying and upgrading to the expense, seemingly, of being able to keep a roof over his head.

I think it's pretty well known among nerds though.

Sadly closed down.

I got bored of wrestling with a predictive text function that dislikes the plaural of “Twenty” when it’s a proper noun 🙂

Not really obscure, but

http://submarine-cable-map-2017.telegeography.com

I would buy the map if I could afford it, or had a s****y pad to hang it up in.

This one probably is, tho.

Probably not too obscure in the bike world but niche nonetheless

What does it say about me that I find all of these sites strangely fascinating (especially at 03:47) : Highlights:

TeleGeography’s 2017 Submarine Cable Map depicts the world’s major active and planned submarine cable systems. Styled in the spirit of Indiana Jones' adventures, the map includes a hidden puzzle with prizes.

Not to mention Camping Stoves 'Paraffinalia'.

The wind map has been bookmarked.

Ahem.

I may or may not have a log in for that site...

I can't believe no one has posted the 'britney spears guide to semiconductor physics'.

Yes, really:

http://britneyspears.ac/lasers.htm

Working in the industry, I find it a handy reference guide to all things semi-conductor.

I like this one: http://www.cranesetc.co.uk/index.html

He reviews model cranes, and takes it very seriously.

I would love to be able to set the earth.nullschool weather map as a live background on my android phone. I imagine it would be pretty data hungry though

A nice cup of tea and a sit down

Good eggs on there - mainly because they are right about the greatest biscuit of all time

Q. Whats the best biscuit ever?

A. Well I would have to say the Abbey Crunch, see my page on this ground breaking oat based biscuit.

Somewhat embarrassing, but having started this thread poking fun at the internet, it transpires that one of the links is of genuine interest to me!!

I spent some time as a youth exploring the underground systems in the magazine article on the right hand side of the home page 'Government Secrets unveiled'.

...... I am even thinking about buying a copy!
