As title, looking for a reasonably priced OBD II that is suitable for a '55 plate Berlingo. Any recommendations?
I'm in the trade and have used a £20 quid eBay job and, from experience, will 99% of the time, give you a code on all engine management light errors.
Very impressive and got me out a few holes .
What it won't do is tell you where an ABS or Airbag fault lies you need a more expensive machine for that. A lot of folk say that Launch (or something like that) is very good and costs about £150.
For a Berlingo the cheap one will be perfect. Had mine a good few years and not sure of model .

eBay
U480
It's my go to. It tells me most faults quickly .- when it fails I fire up the lexia but 90% of time the u480 gets there in seconds.
Only thing that has thrown it was when the garage put fuses in empty slots under the engine an I got an eml. U480 was throwing random faults and torque thought the car was just fine....
Lexia pin pointed straight away a short in the fuse box between 2 ECUs !
In short u480. Should be 10 quid ish
It's the ABS light that's on.
Won't tell you shit.
Get your multi meter out and do it old school

The rear ones are on the axle beam and the front ones are in the engine bay attached to the inner wings/wheelsarches
ABS light, save the hassle and take it to a local garage. Won't be dear and not worth rolling about on the ground over .
aye its gravy train work for the garage , they must make good money at it .
easiest 100 quid i ever saved.

Just to back up TR my U480 diagnosed my C8's jammed EGR exactly. Lexia is good for deep stuff or if you need/want to do adjustments (like unlocking the radio) but for day to day OBD is fine.

Has the ABS light stayed on ? Might be a garage job.
I need to book mine in for a new CV joint, as the ABS sensor ring has cracked - the ring is about £2 but garages just replace the CV joint (which isn't expensive). My light goes off, and only comes on around 70 mph, when the increased space between the ring's teeth causes the sensor to detect a fault. It clears as soon as I restart the car, and won't come on again until I hit 70ish.
