Hi all - I have (used to have) a pair of prescription Oakley Slivers, but I cleverly sat on the &%$^ing things last week and snapped them clean in half. Of course, the Slivers are now discontinued so I can't seem to buy them for love nor money. Will be keeping an eye on eBay etc, but does anyone have any other cunning ideas for where to get some frames?

TIA!

Keep an eye on eBay or join Oakley Forum and ask on there (be warned it’s very, erm, American).

I do have a pair that I could part with, though I imagine you don’t want matte uranium frames

Thanks @5lab I will - mine weren't the XL ones, but if those come up, there's always a chance the others might. Appreciate the heads up.

@Houns oooh blimey, yeah, mayyyybe not then 😀 when you said "uranium" I had it in my mind they might be some sort of gunmetal affair - but those are pretty far from that 😀 mine are clear polished ones, so exactly the same without the radioactive effect 😉

Heh, yeah they’re a bit bright. The Oakley forum has a decent classifieds section and users in U.K./Europe

I've got some Sliver in black with black lenses. About to go on holiday for 2 weeks but would sell them. They're in excellent condition.

I bought some polarised Sungod Renegades recently and they are very very similar in dimensions and style.

If Oakley are anything like they used to be (and several stories indicate they are) get in touch, ask about a repair. You may be pleasantly surprised.

About 20 years ago my Eyejackets were on their 4th arms, second pair of lenses, and second frame. Absolute Trigger's Broom, amazing service.

Yeah, cheers, after @toemul's post I thought "what the heck" and emailed them. We'll see, many thanks all!

Oakley say no. Apparently a snapped-clean-in-two discontinued pair of sunnies can't be fixed. I can sort of see their point 🙁
