I've been using Rodenstock lenses which were made up for me by an optics wizard who is no longer in business. The lenses have been great - free from all optical aberrations which previous lenses suffered from.
I need to buy new frames and will probably go for another pair of Oakley frames. I could order them online with Oakley lenses, which would be the easiest solution. I just wondered if anyone had experience of Oakley prescription lenses. Are there any problems with the lenses? I'm keen to avoid problems I've experienced with high street lenses, such as colour fringing and curvature distortion etc.
Also, can anyone recommend a good Rodenstock optician in Scotland?
Just to say Rodenstock's cr39 lenses are made from the same cr39 material as anyone elses, and their polycarb are made of the same polycarb. the colour distortion you are referring to is generally down to poor glazing rather than poor lens. Sorry I dont have any cotacts I can offer in Scotland.
