Hi all,
Mrs Flossie (Vicky Pea) has a lovely pair of Oakley fast jackets, which after about an hour of wearing, give her a headache. The arms are just a shade too tight. Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the arms by applying gentle heat and easing them out? I was thinking with either a hair dryer or boiling/hot water.
Cheers
Floss
Should be possible, a hairdrier on high, heat up the arm, gently ease it outward. That's pretty much what an optician would do.
Only heat the end that fits behind the ear, though, that's the most flexible bit.
Thanks Count, anyone else tried it?
I had a go once - didn't get far:
Oakley O-matter is very flexible and resilient. It holds its shape extremely well. If you heat the frames (pop out the lenses first), you can try to bend them slightly, and hold them in that shape while they cool, but you won't get more than 1mm or 2mm of adjustment out of the frames.
