Do you buy them?

Having just witnessed the "topping up" of said jars it begs the question of that whats happens to all the stale old nuts in the bottom of the jar?
Are they destined to never to be eaten, or does the landlord just [s]sell them to anybody that doesn't moan[/s] throw them away when customers complain?

Stinks of profit margins to me 😉

Saw thread title, thought this was about unusual post beverage kinky attire. This probably says more about me than you. Anyway, just buy your nuts after the top up. Job jobbed

I keep nuts in a jar, but in my garage. M3 to M8 I think, maybe a few imperial.

I've had too many stale nuts in my mouth to try any more.

You can't buy packets of nuts in our local, just tiny ramekins. Watched someone buy one the other night for £2.80!!!
That'll learn em for living in Surrey.

Do they still have a pretty lady with big chebs on the card from which the packets are hung? (Risks accusations of sexism).

I used to work in a place that had one of those big popcorn hoppers like you see in multiplex cinemas. "Official" policy - ie, at Corporate level - was that they'd to be emptied, cleaned and refilled every weekend.

However, actual policy by the local management was "don't waste popcorn." In the year I worked there, I never saw it emptied or cleaned, not once. Given the volume of popcorn we sold (and how often I saw it refilled) I'd guess the stuff at the bottom in the dispenser had been in there at least six months.

I believe that Tennents lager no longer feature equally big chebbed burds on the back either. Damn progress.

I saw "nuts in a jar" then a truncated username of "allthegear" on my phone and thought this was heading in a different direction..
