I'm looking to replace the fused switch thing below in our kitchen but I've no idea what to look for - does anyone know what it's called? Someone more competent than I will be replacing it but I need to order all the stuff for him to swap.

What do you want to swap it for?
What does it control?
Are you removing some aspects of what is wired to it?

I'm not a spark but I think these are known as grid switches and are often component based so you can pick and choose options.

It's an 8 gang switch plate.
It's made up of parts;
1 x Cover plate
2 x 4 gang Yokes/grids
4 x DP (double pole) grid switches, engraved as above
4 x Fuse carriers.
Possibly a new flush box.
Not sure what make you have there, looks like Deta. What are you replacing it with?

Functionally we want the same thing (a 4 way fused spur?) but we're tiling the walls and replacing the basic white plastic switches with something nicer. It still needs to have the 4 fuses for the appliances, no other changes.

John gets the prize - why do we change stuff on our bikes? Same function, just shinier 🙂

Who needs Google when STW can solve all your problems!

Thanks chaps.

Yeah that is MK grid, the plate didn't look right in the pic.
I think? you can replace the cover plate with a polished chrome one.

Stick grid switch into screw fix search and you will find different face plates, switches and fuse carriers.
