The "Movies that every STWer must watch or be ridiculed for ever more." By @poopscoop
We ran a good fun quiz that we need to reignite (?think its my turn and apologies)
also should do a Stw movie night where we pick a film n watch it....
I always enjoy cosying up to Stephen Kings ‘Dreamcatcher’ at this time of year.
Nice and wintry, like the ‘Revenant’.
i was thinking about this just theother day, nice idea
I'd be up for that. Just pick a date Duncan, maybe avoiding Friday night at this time of year because that tends to be Christmas parties. You'll not be able to please everyone, so may as well please yourself.
I'd be up for it if the dates work.
same, was thinking itd been a while the other day.....
Ooooh yes please.
Same. I’ve been (not really) practicing. Currently in the last 16 of the company (2.5k employees) Mastermind competition 😁
I’m in - I particularly enjoyed one of the earlier quizzes that someone set up where you had to pick the answers on screen in a ‘who wants to be a millionaire’ style rather than the mark your own homework later edition!
That type of quiz is open to abuse by cheating robots apparently.

That was one of mine I think, though I also did a "mark your own"

Oh, do tell? At the end of the day it's only fun so it doesn't really matter, but we had one guy when runing these quizzes in our works weekly lockdown meetings who was LIGHTNING fast, he would almost always win just by being fastest even when he got answers wrong
Grand idea.

Yeah, I was of the opposite mind because I quite enjoyed the social aspect of discussing answers (plus I'm tight and didn't want to pay for quiz software). My thinking when I put the first one together was really just an excuse to hang out, have a drink and a chat with folk. I've done a few web-based ones with work and everyone just sat there in silence for 15 minutes then went about their day, I might as well have read a magazine.
Either or though, these aren't mutually exclusive ideas. I would however suggest we do it sooner rather than later as it was hard enough setting a date that most interested people could attend when we weren't just about to run into Christmas Party season.
Right let me sort this weeks shit fest out at work and remember my logon for the quiz portal.
When's a good night? Folk like a Wednesday?
Oh, do tell?
I smashed the first quiz and was under lighthearted suspicion of being aforementioned cheating robot.
Folk like a Wednesday?
Yep.
Right I'll tidy up and finish a quiz post haste. Itll probably be on that App again but if on a laptop you can quiz on your phone n still have banterz
My work is getting in the way this week.
Kahoot ? You could use that and it means there isn't time for cheating
My quiz i think is the platform
