Yay or nay? (when wearing a tie, obviously)

If there is the possibility of catching it in something?

We use to wear them at work when I worked with big printers, obviously now-a-days we wouldn't be wearing ties (and suits) to do this job 🙂

Where's Flashy? I want to know if he pins his cravat directly to his flesh to prevent it blowing off when he's charging hard on his sharrabang.

No - unless you are over 80 and it has a military insignia

Nay.

I used to wear these in the 80s and 90s. There's no point to them these days when even an ironed shirt is an occasional sighting.

Risk of catching in something? Well apparently it's standard for gynaecologists to wear bow ties (or did I make that up?).

Tie clips are the one thing that i seen worn incorrectly more often that not. Never wear one with a waistcoat. Never have one that's wider than 3/4s of your tie, looks so poor when it's wider than the tie.

I've heard that too - but apparently they've been advised not to wear ties at all - as they don't get washed.

No, No, No - unless it the old style nappy pin version which you could just about get away with.

Tuck back of tie into label - or of the brand is important Herpes or Ferregammo etc - leave it showing !! 😉

Never mind the clips. I don't understand the wearing of the tie that it attaches to! Other than adding an element of danger to any outfit what do they actually bring to the clothing party? Neck warmth? Ability to easily remove foodstuffs from the chin area?

Funny you mention that, there was a guy I worked with at LVMH who always wore his tie the wrong way round. 😆
