80s? Driving?

Obvious choice;

And, a little Art of Noise as well, perhaps.

Oakley and Moroder - Together in Electric Dreams

Incidentally, I adore this - I think it's one of the best things to come of of the eighties (a decade that I was glad to see the back of)

But in the spirit of the thread I'd like to add
Bon Jovi - You give love a bad name
Europe - The final countdown
Nena - 99 red balloons
Bryan Adams - Summer of '69
Kraftwerk - The model
Big Audio Dynamite - E=MC2
Prince - Kiss
Timbuk3 - Future's so bright I gotta wear shades
Age of Chance - Kiss
Visage - Fade to grey
Yazoo - Don't go
Talking Heads - Road to nowhere
Eddy Grant - Electric Avenue
Dead or alive - you spin me right round
New order - Blue Monday
INXS - Need you tonight
Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F
FIne Young Cannibals - She drives me crazy
And the theme from Ghostbusters.

Or the Grosse Point Blank soundtrack.

Hmm, maybe the eighties weren't so bad...

Oh dear, think I got carried away a bit, but was having fun (quite a few guilty pleasure's in there too!) Steered away from hair metal for a change, but I may flood it later...

Was there anything other than hair metal in the 80s?

And for quite an embarrassing chunk of the 90s as well 8)

Right, here goes, some 80s hair metal driving tunes.

Warrant - Uncle Tom's Cabin
Poison - Unskinny Bop (The only Poison track it is acceptable to like)
Def Leppard - Photograph
Skid Row - 18 and life
Van Halen - Take your pick really!
Diamond Dave - Crazy from the Heat (All of it!) and Two Fools a Minute
Whitesnake - Sailing Ships
Love/Hate - Blackout in the Red Room (Recorded in the 80s, so I'm including it!)
Guns and ******* Roses - Well, pretty much any of their 80s output!

And, while not entirely hair metal, perfect for a long night drive is Queensrÿche - Operation Mindcrime.
