Not really a fan of crisps but this morning in sainsburys i managed to buy a 5 pack of Burtons fishnchips crisps, a fine crisp from my youth. Tasted exactly the same as i remember them and as a kid i would always have them when out riding with my mates.
Walkers cheese and onion, while still very much current in the crisposphere, remind me of times in the pub with dad many moons ago.
+1 fishnchips - still enjoy them
Chipmunk Oxo crisps 😀
Bits a pizza, spicy Nik naks, smiths crispy tubes...
Hedgehog flavour anyone?
Scampi fries
Frazzlers
Branigans beef and mustard FTW
Alanf +1 - used to be the midweek post ride recovery meal, along with a pint of whatever the guest ale was.
Burton's Fish n Chips thankfully seem to have avoided the fad of reducing the salty flavour to a minimum.
Alanf +1 Brannigans FTW
Hedgehog flavour +1
Also Potato Puffs 10p a bag from the Happy Shopper on the way home from school...happy days.
Chipmunk Oxo crisps
Pigface you are really showing your age there!
😳 its true gobuchul
Crisps* of champions
What no Smokey Bacon ones? Why are you using the new ones?
I think we can all agree we are the best country IN THE WORLD for crisps.
Seabrook Gralic & Herb remind me of my time at uni 20 years ago. The uni shop sold them and I've never tasted them before.
I've never seen them since and seabrooks don't do them anymore.
Seabrook Gralic & Herb remind me of my time at uni 20 years ago.
I've half a memory that they used to do some sort of curry flavoured ones that were mega. Tandoori? Maybe.

That was my first thought when reading this thread, they must still be on sale somewhere?
edit: google says no
Scampi and lemon niknaks. For some reason remind me of a certain skanky lass I knew when I was 14.
salt and shake without the salt, but instead drenched in worcester sauce from the bottle until you had a gooey worcester saucey potato mess at the bottom of the bag.
Not wanting to be pedantic, but aren't Fish n' Chips actually crackers rather than crisps?
A non-crisp savoury snack I miss is curry flavour Twiglets 🙁
Lovewookie - yes my thoughts exactly! Might have even known the same girl 🙂
Tudor crisps. Best adverts too.
Skips are good too but are they a crisp?

Aye, bacon monster munch.
Fin.
Chipmunk Oxo crisps
Yep, showing my age as well. Used to get them down Durham ice rink when I was a kid, probably talking 52 years ago now. 😯

For a full meal, add white bread & plenty of real butter.
or dipped in curry sauce - a Frazzle Balti
Also the Smiths Gammon Flavour crisps of yore pictured in Drac's pic. So strong I reckon someone actually cocked up and pushed the flavour button one too many times.
Tudor Pickled Onion for the win!
Seabrooks Tomato flavour crisps - used to have them at school. Every time someone launches a tomato type crisp I try them in the hope they taste the same - invariably they don't 🙁
They sell golden wonder in the canteen at work. The Salt and vinegar ones have got some serious power. Put s&v from other brands to shame. Bacon monster much were the one - until I bit into a large clump of the flavouring that had made it's way into the pack. Put me right off.
A solid lump of the flavouring in the bottom of a pack of S&V Discos was an eye-waterer
Space Raiders remained at a retail price of 10 pence from their introduction in the late 1970s until late October 2007, when the price increased to 15p. It later increased to 25p before lowering to 20p. The price has continued to fluctuate, reflecting the volatility of the underlying commodity prices. At the time of the original 5p price rise, directors at United Biscuits received death threats.[2] In August of 2014, Tescos ran a 10 pack multibuy offer at £1, temporarily resetting the individual pack price to 10 pence. [3]Each crisp is in the shape of an alien head. Prior to the change in EC food colouring laws, Roast Beef Space Raiders were bright red and pickled onion ones were green.
Trading standards made Hedgehog flavoured crisps change their name
Tudor pickled onion were ace "ye canee beet a canny bag o Tudor" but my childhood fave was golden wonder pickled onion. I also remember some mushroom flavoured puff balls called 'kung fu' . My mum and dad had a weird objection to flavoured crisps they used to buy smiths ready salted so I would always put wostersauce and vinegar in the bag shake it up and eat the result.
This has to be my favorite thread !
Those Horror Bags always remind me of swimming lessons on a Saturday morning as a kid. The vending machines were full of Fangs, Claws and Bones. I've got to disagree with teasel, I thought these were the best
Did all salt and vinegar crisps back then make your head go like this....
