There is this guy at work who has a one grey hair half way down his nose and everytime I talk to him I can't take my eyes off it.

Would it be acceptable to yank it out with a pair of pliers and make his eyes water.

You could mention his nose hair too whilst you're at it.

Your call really ..

I would however watch out for the knee jerk reaction where his foot connects with your nuts ( assuming that you are of the male gender )...

Are we talking nostril hair or external nose hair?

As a sign of my advancing year I now get nostril hair. I pluck it out with my fingers whilst driving. It makes me sneeze, one of lives little pleasures.

Be prepared for him to point out the forest of ear hair that you didn’t know you had

My dad used to tall me that the first sign of old age is when the barber offers to trim your eyebrows.

In my efforts to emulate Peter Pan I trim nose, ear and eyebrow hair regularly. Nose hair is the strongest rooted and plucking one with tweezers certainly makes the eyes water. Ear hairs, if you don't trim them regularly with the shaver, can be plucked out easily without pain and eye brows the same, though my barber trims those for me anyway.

I also shave the hairs on my neck or get Mrs Gti to do it as I hate looking like a hairy old chap who doesn't care.

Nose hair ..I do myself ..

Neck hair ..my missus is a hairdresser so I get that done regularly with shears ..

Eyebrows ..as above ..but the mrs tweezers them ..not shears ..getting slightly paranoid about the number of white ( not grey) ones coming through though !

Nasal trimmer in the secret santa or a voucher for your local Turkish barber.  I use a trimmer.  External ear hair plucking is a game of wit best won with my razor but more challenging with my fingernails!

Plucking nasal or eyebrow rogue hairs with my fingers?  Not a chance.  Who needs that pain in their life.

has anyone every tried the Turkish barber ear hair burning themselves? I'm tempted but fear my ears / hair might catch on fire.

I get the flaming ear treatment when I get a shave at my Turkish barbers. It gets a bit uncomfortable if the barber's not quite quick enough, but I've not caught fire  yet.

Never mind the Turkish Barber 🔥, at my last visit he asked if I wanted my nostril and ear hair trimmed. Obligingly I said yes... he produced 4 cotton buds and dipped them in a little vat of hot wax and stuffed each in an orifice before I could react. After the wax had cooled he then proceeded to yank them out 😂 and showed me the result! I did wince a little.

Be careful with the ear flaming. A Turkish barber tried it on me once, he started ok but decided he needed more flame to burn the forest so proceeded to top up the lit swab from his open meths bottle. Cue a loud WHUMPH and a flame shot past my ear and set fire to the artificial flowers in front of me. Cheeky fella asked for a tip too-I politely declined.

Trying to pull out ear hairs with my fingers by feel alone is one of my favourite pastimes.

We went to the pub after work and it's still there, only now it's glinting in the sunlight .

Nose hair - I too enjoy a good tug. It's the occasional brute that seems to be attached all the way back to your brain and be made of kevlar that are the killers.

Eye Brows - hang on, I didn't get that message. What are we meant to be doing with eye brows now?

Personal favourite - ingrowing hairs. Not the weedy fine skinny one but the ones which when dug up look like you have uncovered an underground mains cable. Normally just a tiny bit spongy in texture. I miss shaving my legs (ex now long retired roadie). Some awesome ingrowing hairs to be found back then.
