Heading up your way for a week tomorrow for first time. Looking at nice short walk options close to Amble, Seahouses and Rothbury. Easy bimbles no longer than 5 miles ideally - perfect if nice pubs nearby too. Any links very much appreciated - cheers! Currently pishing down at home - hoping not the same up there this week!
Bump for the evening crowd
Rothbury is easy the carriage drive loop.
Amble you could walk to Warworth and then along the river at Warkworth.
Seahouses walk to Bamburgh.
All over 5 miles well except Rothbury.
It's damp and cloudy up here but not pouring.
Cheers Drac
No problem.
Alnwick you can park behind the Playhouse, walk through the to town past the castle and then down the hill to the river. Follow that until the next bridge where you cross over and follow back into town.
Good pubs in town and the White Swan Hotel makes its own ice cream, just in case the sun pops out.
Don't go it's awful.
If you must go the walk from Low Newton to Craster and back again is pretty good. Good pubs at each end although they get really busy.

Good route that. The pubs won't be too bad next week as all schools are back, the older holiday makers are about just now but they don't venture out much if it's damp.
Craster - Howick Scar - Howick Hall - Rumbling Kern - back along the coastal path to Craster
Lovely walk, probably 6miles but almost flat and there's a great cafe in Craster when you finish
