Looking for somewhere to take Mrs 10pmix for a nice break with the car into northern France. I've been to Normandy and all round the area north of Paris and also to Lille and Reims. I was thinking of Troyes. Anyone been there? Anywhere else? A town with a few bars/restaurants to walk to at night and a good base for touring during the day, maybe with a vineyard/chateau or two thrown in.

Bagnoles is a nice area to stay/visit. Loads to see and do.
anywhere in the somme or belgian boreder areas . been to both and really enjoyed.
suppposed to be some good riding as well.
