I believe it's shut eastbound between 22 - 24 and borked westbound.

Just checking now, but in case anyone about to set off, might want to consider alternatives etc etc.

Air ambulance landing apparently; which is never good.

Being held up is much better than being carried off to hospital.

M62 | West Yorkshire | Both Directions | Incident | Road Closed

The M62 is closed in both directions between J24 (Huddersfield) and J22 (Denton) due to a incident involving HGV’s which have crossed the central reservation.

As J23 is a restricted access junction, a signed diversion for westbound traffic is available from J24 and customers are advised to follow the 'Solid Black Square Symbol’. HGV's should note there is a low bridge on this route (13ft 6") at Sowerby Bridge. The diversion for eastbound traffic is from J22 - J24 and customers are advised to follow the "Black Hollow Circle Symbol"

Customers may wish to consider alternative routes and should allow extra time for their journeys.

Its still bad now. I can see Scammonden dam from my kitchen and nothing is moving.
It must have been a very bad crash, hope nobody is badly hurt

I went over the top in the end, which was predictably chaotic - people I know are still on '62 having left at 4pm.

Hopefully it's not a confirmed fatality (I don't want to know if it is).

I drive home from Leeds centre to hudds, thanks for the heads up - took me 70mins to get home via Bretton and Emley rather than the 2hrs plus that Google was advising!! Phew!

I think one of the drivers of the trucks that was involved was taken to hospital. Hopefully not badly hurt.
