Looking for locals advice on good daylong trail centres in North England and/or South Scotland.

Partner and I have been staying at Glentress for last few days, which has been great. Have done blue red and ventured onto the black, which we hope to do more of this week.

We leave Thursday and can't extend stay as booked up around here for the Tweedlove event on this weekend.

Looking for recommendations of trail places in areas mentioned? I would like the opportunity to do runs multiple times which, for anyone who's even to GT, will know is difficult with the up. My calves and achillies will be pretty shot.

Planning on area as have a long drive back done to Bedfordshire Sunday or Monday now we have the extra BH to enjoy.

On your way back you'll pass or come close to kielder, thrunton, chopwell, guisborough, reeth, dalby... And that's all before you're south of Yorkshire. Best of the bunch is probably Hamsterley for facilities/variety. You can do anything more than once easily enough, it's a very simple layout.

In true STW style of not answering your question.
You do know there are a lot more places in the valley to ride than GT don't you?
Why not explore a little more with the four days you have left up here?

Yes, it's been great being up here. Hoping to try Innerleithen and Golfie tomorrow. Problem has been trying to get accommodation for over the weekend as TweedLove has swept up the bike friendly accommodation this way (understandable, my fault for not booking sooner!). Have managed to get one extra night here to do a day at TweedLove.

Not necessarily but they tend to be more "multi run friendly" opposed to long XC loops.

Hoping to try Innerleithen and Golfie tomorrow.

I'll probably be riding tomorrow if you want someone to show you round?

A bit of this. Completing Glentress immediately gets you access to Gyspy Glen, and there's the trail centre route at Innerleithen too. If you feel you're ready for something a bit more 'interesting' then suddenly you've for Cademuir, Caberston (Golfie), Thornielee and Yair to look at

Thanks all and sorry for suddenly dropping off my own post.

Managed to get booked in for a few more days at a local air BnB. Have had a local rider show me some off piste bits, which have been amazing. So v glad to have stuck around! Although, will definitely look at testing the other recommended spots soon.

Sorry about this, completely missed this. Another time for sure!

I've had recommendations of this. May try Saturday!

Pretty sure its been closed since Arwen

Yair, Thornielee, Caberston all got great trails. Have you checked if Adrenaline is running any uplifts?
