This is a real stab in the dark, but last year there was a amazingly good PSA on Nordisk canvas/scout-esque tent and I missed out on them due to procrastination, and obviously never quite got over it...
I have two events coming up where one of these would be perfect, and was just wondering if anyone had bought one that that they hadn't found a use for and would sell to me!?

Yep, good tents and a bargain at the time, had an awesome tour of Skye and the west coast with mine last year. Sorry I realise this otherwise doesn't help! 
Buy an old vango force 10.
in itself not bad advice, but a force ten is about 1/3 the size. and would probably still be twice the cost. partner and i enjoyed the nordisk last summer, so much so she bought her eldest one for christmas. does that help OP?
they had some bell tents on their outlet last time i looked. no good?
