complete sell out - 1.5 hours of redial and multi pages open! I am pooped!
Ive got mine....
Got some for the Sunday.. They're all over Ebay and the like already. That really pisses me off. 👿
lucky escape just imagine the albums sung out of tune and you are there
222,000 tickets sold in 68 minutes, apparently.
Got mine woohoo 😀
£300+ for a pair.
Then.
Now.
It'll be garbage. Listen to the old albums and remember them as they were, not a bunch of middle aged men paying their divorce bills.
Obvious they'll sound shit but atmosphere should be electric I for one can't wait
Paying upwards of £55 per ticket to see some reformed has-beens. No thanks.
Yes the great thing about music is that the sound is irrelavant when you have an atmosphere 😯
Yep, that's right
..and apparently the music is irrelevant if you have good sound.
All things to all people this pop music eh? 🙂
Somebody needs to send that "now" picture in to Viz for Up the Arse Corner.
I just thought - this will be like one of those later Oasis gigs won't it? Where you can't hear the band, just the crowd shouting the words along. *cringe*
Got my ticket 😀 😀 😀 😀
For those moaning on here, I'm sure you'll have a much better time sat in front of the computer arguing on STW instead 😆
eBay is being massively sabotaged by the looks of it! Pairs o tickets going for a grand, won by bidders with no feedback! Ha ha unlucky all the arseholez who only bought them to sell on 😆
I'll be listening to the gigs in my back garden.
(unless they're as shite as they were the last time I saw them, in which case I'll go back in)
I'll be going to a decent gig with a new, exciting, young band...
[edit]for about £12 a ticket.
Are we all coming round for a few beers at yours on the Saturday then Terrahawk? 😀
I got mine. wasn't going to bother, but went for it at 9.35. now I've ealised I am over the moon. theres about 6 of us going down for it, the sound and quality is about 50% of it IMO, the atmosphere and the rest of the day will just be incredible!
Exactly warton
Warton +1
Loking at the now picture, since when did the reformed SR consist of an consist of a Rolling stone, Troll and a couple of dodgy uncles?
you've had a lucky escape
It will be full of drunken toerags
Are we all coming round for a few beers at yours on the Saturday then Terrahawk?
erm...
no.
Well I'm sure that the 220,000 people who bought tickets in less than 70 minutes this morning are not expecting a note perfect rendition of the first two albums. The atmosphere will be incredible and I'm sure Ian Browns vocal will get put through sone kind of processor to make it sound ok. And everyone will be happy. And that's what counts.

i might go see somet form Simon Cowells stable,as they will be singing in tune, 🙄
What happened to Mani's face? Has he spent the last 15 minutes constantly driving an Ariel Atom?
cack.
drinking beer, listening to the first album. getting far too excited, considering the gigs in 8 months.
i'm dead jealous, the stone roses where one of the most influential bands ever
They were shit 15(?) years ago, can't imagine them being any better now.

Yes, but 22 years ago they changed the UK musical landscape for ever
I saw them in the old days, would like to see them now. All the miserablatists round these parts can tell me what's cool all they like. Good on those with tickets.
Did they really?
changed the UK musical landscape for ever
really? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

+1 i seen em in the old days, mint! now that 1st debut album absolute classic! nowt has touched that since imo.(one) of the best albums going.
they were shit 15 years ago?
what what was good 15 years ago or now?
I hate, really ****ing hate people that say that music is shit. no, its shit IYO, I probably dont like runrig or marillion or whatever you like, but that doesn't mean its shit.
I agree warton. I started reading that big 'overrated bands' thread...got to the part where someone said something like 'if you don't like queen & U2 you don't know anything about music'..
Music is subjective. Whatever the (wanabee) cool kids tell us.
They were a 90s band. They'll sound awful now. Seen Happy Mondays?
As a bird once said to my mate
'It was good at the time but things have changed'.
Well, if a bird said it to your mate....
They'll sound awful now
maybe/maybe not but the nostalgia is good fun.

Well, Monday I'll be going to see a (relatively) new young band, for the third time, in fact, who are nothing to do with any crap tv show, who can sing very well, in tune, and for free.
Then Tuesday I'm going to see another young artist, also a superb singer, also nothing to do with Simom (expletive) Cowell, but that one's costing around twenty quid. But it is in Bristol Cathedral.
FWIW I liked the band, it was their live show that was s**t. That's less open to personal taste I reckon- they were just playing badly and disinterestedly, and monkey looked and sang like he didn't really recognise any of the songs. (he made Ozzy look together)
I'm disappointed to not get any tickets but as I've been waiting over 22 years to see them live I think I'll cope and I'm going to hold out hope of catching them at a show somewhere else once the hype has died down a bit.
Count Zero you got link to this music?
Look, lets be clear, this isn't going to be the musical extravaganza that it was back in the late 90's but lets be honest, how many people of our generation grew up wishing they'd seen the Roses live?
I know I did and given the rate at which the tickets sold it appears I'm not alone.
On the day, I'm sure that musically they won't be quite the same but tbh its not quite the point is it. It will be a fantasitc gig - even if the music is shit (well, average maybe) and I'm glad I've got tickets. One of the few gigs I've got tickets for where price wasn't really a factor.
Oops, put 90's - should read 80's (too much wine)
not a bad investment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stone-Roses-Tickets-x2-Saturday-30th-June-Manchester-Heaton-Park-/120797402715?pt=UK_Tickets_Tickets_LE&hash=item1c2016165b
