It looks like there will be no free Moto GP highlights on TV this year. I'm spitting feathers, me.

Well, Radio Times says:
Quest TV is expected to air highlights throughout the 2021 season.
Highlights are likely to be shown every Monday evening after a race weekend.

But since getting any info out of Quest is next to impossible, I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it happens.

As above, Quest should have highlights show. Looking forward more to WSBK/BSB myself, personally, and we have BT Sport.

Just not the same when the best rider is unable to compete. I am not a#93 fangirl, either, and accept that he removed himself from the equation. I thought him trying to ride a MotoGP bike with a plated arm was insane. Never mind the showboating gym work.

Take care opening French windows, guys...

Also, prefer the Jamie Whitham and Jack Burnicle commentary team. Glad Heuwen has left BT Sport, though, got right on my wick.

It's not in the Quest schedule for Monday. I will live in hope. I sort of agree about WSB/BSB, but any motorbike racing is good, right?

It was on Wednesday nights wasn’t it last year? Or was that the BSB highlights?

100%, yes. Just a shame for the prototype series that it looks like amother best of the rest scenario.

No disrespect to whoever wins, this year. They can only beat the riders who are able to participate.

Keen to see how Pol gets on with the RCV and Morbidelli on lower spec Yamaha. KTM and Ducati are also interesting propositions due to personnel changes.

Top motorcycle riders rarely fade slowly into obscurity, most go with a 'bang'..., been happening for the +45 years I've followed bike racing, happened before and will continue to happen.

Agreed, apart from Casey Stoner. What an absolute waste of talent that was.

The sad thing is, is that he never got to race against Marquez. That would have been an indicator of just how good the rookie Marquez was.

When Pedrosa was injured, Stoner offered to stand in for him but he was prevented from doing so. One has to wonder why?

Isn't the reason/rumour that it was Marquez himself (or Puig perhaps) who said no to Stoner riding? Understandable but not good for us as fans!

+1 looking forward to motogp this year, and I'm tempted to buy into BTSport to see it.

Difficult to predict who will come out on top though. Yamaha and Ducati did well in the recent Qatar test but I suspect Suzuki have the best bike for a full season, but we'll see.

Marquez has always crashe d a lot, and all that crashing finally caught up with him last season. He may get back to the top but there's still some uncertainty to that, and the next big prang could well be his last.

Frustrating lack of choice for watching or catch up, suppose I'll end up with it on the EE/BT app deal.
Marquez got away with some very aggressive riding for a long time, eventually it caught up with him.

Glad Heuwen has left BT Sport, though, got right on my wick.

Each to his own I suppose. Gavin Emmett has been promoted to lead commentator and that’s going to some adjustment; his enthusiasm is matched only by his inability to rein in that enthusiasm and take a breath every now and again.

At the end of the day who ever is on the start line is the only thing that matters, there are thousands of stories of those who had the breaks/luck/hard cash to get where they are and many others who didn't reach the top. I knew a guy that raced against Jenson Button and regularly gave him a run for his money ... many more that may have possibly never even got in a car. I guess what I'm saying is, it's only those on the start line that matter. Ifs, buts and maybes are all superfluous chatter.

225mph down the straight yesterday in qualifying! Weather forecast doesn't look great for this afternoon with high winds so the track will end up with a decent covering of sand. Could be interesting...

For some reason ITV4 are claiming to be showing all 3 races live this Sunday, program starts at 9:45am. Thought BT had the exclusive rights here but perhaps ITV4 have coughed up for a live show to monitor audience.

Good idea, imo. Quest used to screen some Superbike events live, too.

I used to enjoy the Beebs coverage, even Coxy and Parrish. Please keep Perry away from future proceedings, though. Seeing her flirting with the talent is utterly cringeworthy IMO. 20 years ago, maybe. Matt Roberts is still pretty good, from what I've seen.

This weekend might be a washout, which is a shame.

Marquez back on the bike and making steady progress. Being beaten by his team mate, literally one-handed, can't be good for Pol's confidence. Alex Marquez still appears to be a waste of a ride despite big bro saying he was the better rider of the two.

Marc still seems to be the only rider capable of getting the best out of the RCV by, apparently, masking the bikes supposed inadequacies.

Bit harsh, hes still a moto3 and 2 world champion and looked pretty good at the tail end of last year. I'd blame Honda's management rather than AM.

ITV4 just has the full live coverage of it at Le Mans in France. 'Fraid you've missed it now. But ITV 4 are pretty good for the racing. Started at 9:45am this morning to 14:15pm
If its any consolation theyre some coverage of Senior TT footage on after it, and after that a prog called the 'Unrideables' of races and riders of Gran Prix 500cc bikes so at least you have a couple of hours of bike stuff for boring Sunday.

I watched last weeks highlights on C4 last week (via Filmon.com), good coverage of Moto3 & 2 as well rather than the 45sec they used to get!

Cal Crutclow is back on a factory Yamaha for the next three races, replacing Morbidelli who is injured.

Does ITV still have highlights? I feel I haven't seen a race for a while and I can't find any future programs.

There’s an announcement from Rossi later this afternoon about his future. Not sure if I want him to carry on or not.

In a way I want him to retire so I don't have to watch him rolling around at the back, but on the other I want to see him carry on just in hope to see him back at the front again!

In hindsight he should've retired in either 2010 or 11 after coming back from his broken leg and showing that he still had it. It's been downhill since.

Big Rossi fan here, but I'm also hoping he is going to say he is calling it a day. Not so good seeing him racing to celebrate even getting into the points these days.

+1. In terms of his legacy, 2010 would have been the right time to go. The Ducati debacle didn't help matters either. As you say, easy to say with hindsight.

2015 was entertaining but none of the three protagonists came out of it terribly well.

Ciao Vale, you absolute legend...

Crutchlow replacing Vinales at silverstone, maybe for the rest of the season as Vinales contract has been terminated.

Strangely enough, Yamaha don't appreciate disgruntled employees trying to blow up their prototype motorcycles on live TV. I also heard a rumour that he or one of his entourage destroyed one of the team's scooters, too, that same weekend.

Thought it was odd when he turned up at the circuit last weekend, whilst he was suspended, and later issued his apology.

At the first Austrian GP (Styria, whatever?) he seemed more focused on putting Quartararo in his place. I think him potentially derailing his team mates title challenge probably influenced Yamaha's decision, too.

Personally, I thought it would have been nice to see Rossi back in blue for a meeting or two.
