Adam phoned.
He's getting married. He's lived in a series of tree houses. The first he built aged 13. He's 34 now.
He was looking for a place for some Canadian wedding guests to stay. He'd heard of but had never seen my Pool Hoose. I said you'd better come up then
He and his most gorgeous bride to be looked in yesterday. When their Canadian friends got married they had to paddle a canoe across a lake to get to the cabin where the reception was. They felt the Pool Hoose would be their perfect place to stay for this Scottish wedding.
Meeting a young couple so obviously in love was heartwarming. When your future wife is willing to bump start your van, you know she's a keeper.

That's such a nice story, its a bit like my sister meeting her partner while cycle-camping on her own in the Pyrenees she fixed a chaps chain who was stranded by the side of the road near Jaca & gave him a bit of a dressing down for not knowing how to fix it.
Turns out he was from Devon near where she lives 23 years later they are still together with 2 sons!
She still goes off cycle camping on her own though as she prefers the solitude.
I love treehouses, a mate of mine lived in one for years Iglehart Glass Palnackie and Tom Iglehart Treehouse. A stunning structure so i'll try and dig out some pics if i can find them.
I've prob met the "Adam" in your post Mcmoonter as Tom used to have some amazing gatherings/parties up in the trees with many guests from his collective of friends, memories of the gatherings are understandably hazy 😉 - well done for handing over your poolhouse to the wedding guests, I'm sure they'll love it.
Brilliant!
