Anyone picking up a Nintendo Switch 2 today?

I'm not, but my son had one on pre-order and is travelling over to Currys in Glasgow to pick it up today.

He has been looking forward to this day for a long time and it ties in nicely with him having finished his degree last week!

I'm aiming to pick one up later in the year when everything settles down with the availability.

If they get oblivion remastered on switch 2 then I will get it.  Otherwise will stick with my first gen until tes6 comes out (hollow laughing)

I bet someone on here went to their local Smyths to collect one just after midnight last night.

My better half is a massive Nintendo fan, but she's holding off a Switch 2 to replace her 1 for now, possibly as we got a PS5 (with disc drive) for same sort of price, only a few months back. There's very little in the way of proper new games coming out right now.

If there was a new Zelda launched with S2 I'd have one in my hands now, as it is I'll probably wait although with Nintendo the console price is unlikely to drop so no real benefit holding out.

I'd like to know how much bigger / heavier it feels, the S1 was about right I'm not sure about holding an S2 for long.

My lads has arrived, he's at 6th form today though so it's sat on his spot on the sofa waiting til he gets back. It's taking me all of my strength to leave it alone 😂

Weird that they've not really released a pile of new games for launch day, but he's giddy about the uprated pokemon games anyway. I'm sure we'll have a family mariokart session at the weekend.

Can't really see the point.  Already got a Switch and a PS5.  There's nothing new that I can't play on either of those.  If there was a new Zelda game then maybe I'd say something different, but I've still not actually played Tears of the Kingdom yet, so it'll be a while off.

Got my lad a Switch 1 as all his mates were playing Fortnite and he was dying to join in. He tried it maybe twice and hasn't bothered since. Won't be buying a 2.
