Happened across one of her ventriloquist sketches whilst browsing the Web.
Is she really that funny? A bit one dimensional. Her sketch seems to be the same thing over and over again.
Sort of Britain's Got Talent dance troop quality. Funny once, inane the second time around.
I don’t find her funny either.
But meh, it would be shit if we all liked the same thing.
Nina Conti is bloody funny and I am always right in these matters.
I enjoy her act, but like most ventriloquists, it tends to be variations on a theme
Try to find the documentary where she went to a conference in the USA BBC documentary I think? it's about killing off a puppet. Or the YouTube series where she visits a head doctor.
Very funny live but I don't think it transfers well onto TV.
I’d let her work me from the back
Comedy, more than any other art form, is best experienced live. I’ve seen plenty comedians do a routine live that’s hilarious but watched again at home on YouTube is dull.
I saw Nina at the Stand in Edinburgh and thought her brilliant. But wouldn’t rush to watch her on telly.
I’d let her work me from the back
'Get back in the box'
Oh but I like her in 'Clare in the community'
Funny the first time
Wrong; funny.
She was absolutely awful on eight out of ten cats does count down!
Funny once, after that it's just the same shit so boring imo.
I don't find her funny at all but that doesn't mean she is not funny and lots of people do find her funny.
Remember there a are a lot of people who think Mrs Browns Boys is funny so takes all sorts.
Oh I don't know, seeing her monkey always put a smile in my face.
I end up laughing...the adult version of the show seems to be funnier, but it has language in it - seeing a monkey or a granny swearing seems to work for me.

I'll soon change your mind.
My favourite part of her act is when she gets on stage and sticks her hand up her Nanny.
Nookie Bear every time
STW tries again to conclude objectively about a purely subjective issue.
I think Bill Hicks was brilliant. Others would think him sick and sociopathic.
Enjoy what you enjoy. Switch off what irritates.
Simple really.
I saw her live at a very male dominated corporate event, not the kind of place any comic, partially a female one, would perform by choice unless the fee was huge.
She absolutely smashed it, brilliant act.
I saw her at the Fringe a while back. Think she had just started the masks on members of the audience thing. She was really good, some things worked better than others but on the whole I really enjoyed it. I always find I laugh more at live shows than when watching YouTube clips etc. Not sure I would go to see her again mostly cause there's so many other acts I want to see.
Nookie Bear every time
Used to be fantastic back in the day.
