I'm looking at night vision infrared cameras, for security and also for wildlife.
The trail cams, from about £50, record to an sd card, have trigger times of a second or less, 12mp, 1080p, have their own batteries, and can be left in place for months
The security cams, also 1080p, have wireless, you can use an app on your phone to see whats going on,and they record to an sd card, and relay pictures to the cloud. They need a (USB) power supply, and cost £40+
So, it seems better to have a security cam for the shed/bikes, but can I take it wildlife watching? I'd only be out for an hour or two,cam would be within sight (if it wasnt dark). Are the images going to be anywhere near as good?
Is there another solution out there?
