Merry Christmas to me. First Christmas present in 5 years (and I bought it??).

(I reckon I bloody deserve this. There is a complex and dull story behind it, but meh. Me me me me. 🙂 )

It's a bit plain, given all the boxes and song and dance

You are aware that excessive packaging will have an environmental as well as a monetary cost?

Does it shoot lasers or have a hidden garrote wire in the bezel? If not I'll stick with my G-shock as I tend to break all other time pieces 🙁

It does look nice though. Have you wrapped it so that you can be surprised on Christmas morning?

The stripes aren'y my thing but that's just personal taste. Great watch which will last years. I have just bought myself a daily beater (not nearly as posh as yours)

Would it be possible to get some more pictures of the box, but without the watch in shot?

Also, how much does a box like that cost? I am guessing £3.5k-ish?

Very good news regarding health of Mrs Wally resulted an early Happy Christmas in our house and a new Casio. Someone should have a word with them regarding packaging, clearly been outgunned. Don't worry Mrs Wally went a spending too..Titanium, atomic clock, Solar, Sapphire, 100m, perpetual, thin and comfy. JDM only. No doubt will be on Classifieds some point in the future when I can afford the Omega Ti AquaTerra Good planet 38mm...that might me some time, however.

That bloody operating instructions book though!

My dust extractor came with a manual the same size - it has one button.

PS - its running 2hrs and 10 minutes slow.

On the wrist of a man who's got his hand on a BMW gear lever; shifting into fourth as he accelerates out of town. An image that really captures the elegance and power of a successful modern man. It's what we all strive for. Perfection.

Enjoy your watch.

Gonna troll a bit here, but do, say, Syrian refugees not deserve some basic commodities more than we deserve nice watches or tellies?

Speaking as someone who just bought a telly.

Gonna troll back and say, why didn't you give the money for your new telly to MSF or just post it to your preferred Syrian?

Might be an argument that Capitalism, driven by people's desire for shiny, actually ultimately helps create more wealth that can be funneled into good causes? Maybe.

No. Buying things is bad. Unless it's a new TV or a nice caravan. Otherwise, buying anything nice is evil and kills Syrian refugees you heartless bastard!
