Managed to get a few nights away without the kiddies and heading for scarborough  (yes I know but logistics dictate it's the only option).  Anyone know some nice options for a meal out.

The Chinese restaurant at the bottom of North Marine Road was always very good when I lived there.

Gianni's Italian is well worth a shout. They are slightly bonkers but the food is awesome. Helps that the house wine is by the litre.

There was a Fish restaurant a couple mins walk away from the station that was pretty good.  Not Fish & Chips before anyone suggests, more like Lock Fyne but better imo

Giannis looks good (we wanted to go last year but hadn't booked and the place was really busy). So BOOK and perhaps go there.

It may not fit what you're after but Eat Me Cafe is great although it's only small so fills up quickly.

As an alternative option to Gianiis you’ve got Florios. It’s busy, busy, busy and do the most amazing tomato garlic bread as a starter. I think they were ranked in the top three in the country for it. (Didn’t even know that was a thing?!)

Cowshed is a great burger joint run by a couple of young, local lads. Fantastic burgers, hot dogs and salads and all locally supplied. Great setting as well but you’ll more than likely need to book.

Both are favourites of locals and almost have a cult following, particularly Florios.

As well as all of the ones above, there's Saba Thai and Indian if you're after a curry. I know it's wrong but I do enjoy mixing Thai starters with Indian curries 🙂

There's also a Tapas bar called La Roca on one of the little side streets down to the beach, not been myself yet but my other half and her friends have been a few times and rave about it.

hi all, just to let you know, we had a fab few days in Scarborough and both restaurants were great, food was really good and the staff at AZ's were lovely.  Thanks for the recommendations.

AZ is the nicest Turkish restaurant I've been to, glad to see everyone else has recommended it already!
