Craghoppers do some good ones, I have one of the padded winter ones and its been great
Schoffel and Musto do some great stuff, but might look a little yachty/country if you're not that way inclined.
The nike m65 jacket is awesome.

I don't want it cut for a climbing harness, a huge hood for going over a helmet, map pockets, extra drawcords, high viz colours etc.
Waterproof jacket, casual looking, doesn't make you appear to be making a dash for base camp?

The one and only Belstaff Trialmaster. Pretty much thorn-proof, very easily re-proofed, gets better and better as it gets older.
And it doesn't have to be black, but black is betterer.
I love mine to bits, and it's getting ever more comfortable to wear.

Just got myself a Merrel Moab jacket - DWR in a sale. Really nice fit if you're skinny. Still a bit warm here but pre-empting the wind/rain of our mild winter.
I have a Peak Performance goretex jacket that looks like an ordinary coat, bit like this one(*)
