I am a heathen when it comes to crumpets. The cheaper ones have more crunch ( Warburtons, need to be toasted twice to replicate this ) 🙂

Warburtons are just too squidgy and doughie! @Zippykona Mr MC does that too and it's wrong! Someone told me to try peanut butter on them once .. minging!!

Butter, raspberry jam, honey or marmite are THE ONLY options!

A nice extra mature cheddar melted on a well toasted crumpet is blimmin' fantastic.

Agree though, that peanut butter is a new whole level of wrong and I love PB on most things.

no, but in this instance it really does the trick. Only a tiny wee spot required.

What the **** is wrong with you? Crumpets and cheese is incredible. Add marmite and it takes it to a whole new level.

I don't get people that dislike a bit of crumpet n butter. Such a tasty pleasure. But then I hate, and will not eat, custard or mushy peas!

Warburtons but they do need to be toasted for longer then they become light & fluffy, great with butter and local honey.

Kev, I've always thought you come across as a genuinely decent human being.
Amazing how wrong you can be about people isn't it?
