Does anyone know if we work a month in hand? Basically I went back to work after for the 2nd time after an op on the 27th September. And have been doing two shifts plus 3 days annual leave. But they have paid me £169 ssp. Which is two weeks ssp. Surely this is wrong.

I did the same when I went back June 24th after being off since Feb for my leg break till august 26th when I had a knee arthroscopy. And got paid ssp in June and ssp for two weeks and normal two weeks in July and full wage August.

So by my reckoning I should have got two weeks ssp and two weeks normal wage. Any ideas?

Error, incompetence or correct - could be any of the three?

Take it Hr is first port of call. Can't get to work with £169 for four weeks.

Phone your wages department and ask them how it's worked out and have they got it right.

N.B. best to do this a) at a relatively quiet time, and b) in the politest, most professional way you can.

Did your boss record that you had returned to work? I forgot to do that once and only found out when the guy got a letter saying he was going onto SSP.
