Go Broncos, not expecting anything special in Denver this season.

Will Cleveland win a game this season?

Packers for me although our offensive is one man and the defender isn’t so great either.

Packer Bears ... Best Offensive player vs Best Defensive player ??

What could Roger do with a decent O line ?? .... What were the Raiders thinking in letting Mack go??

But at least it means Phil Rivers will not have to face him twice a year.... But the Chargers will still have  Tyreek Hill twice a year .... he scored 3 TDS against us yday.

424 yards passing and 3 TDs were not enough to beat the Chiefs (man, they are a good good football team) ... Chargers had 4 big dropped catches ... 2 long yardage misses, another that would have been run in for a TD and the worst an uncontested drop in the end zone Grrrr ...  those 4 dropped catches would have taken Rivers over 600 yards passing !!

Thank god we've got the Bills next week.... lol

Great start for the Chiefs as ever.

It’s only one game but Mahomes looks the business so far.

Hopefully we can stay strong and make up for the clusterbuck that was the Royals season in the MLB

No he does not ....

Just like Joey Bosa, his helmet is over sized and it looks like it's sitting on the top of his head.... 🙂

Giants started this season as they finished last. Badly. Hope it’s just a blip and Jacksonville are actually quite good,

Cleveland were soooo close to a win

And imagine scoring 40points & finishing on the losing side

I don't really watch the NFL, yet I quite like both Canadian and American football. I just don't understand its appeal here in the UK, where we already have two types of our own football, and none of the culture that surrounds the American version (therefore taking it out of context). At least ice hockey has a long-standing history here, if not a very high profile.

Having said all of that... Go Vikings! 🙂

ASAP !! .... the chargers rallying cry

Any Squad Any Place.

Chargers have the spirit of the '88 Dons ... Wimbledon FC that is ... no one liked them and they didn't care.

9 - 0 on the road (and very few fans at "home") but will Foxboro be a game too far? .... I think if the weather is poor then sadly yes... but has any team stood as good a chance against the Pats at home in recent memory?

And if they do win .... everyone will be **** scared of them.

Go Bolts.

Chargers completely out "coached" By the Overlord.

Some of it pretty obvious and so frustrating ... if you play 6DBs one week and they do well, you can bet your bottom dollar Belichick will play power football and run the ball down your throat behind a full back.

But on the other hand ... where did the front 7 of Pats' D come from?... They were rank 30th or something in QB pressures before yday, but were all over River from the get go.

Now I'm left having to support them, them Pats, next week.... Can't have the Chiefs (a divisional rival) in the SB... but whatever, it'll be a great game.

Why do they bother with gumshields?

stops you a) biting your tongue and b) concussive effects of your top and bottom teeth hitting together if you get an unexpected blow to the head

Surely that’s a reference to the number of times the gumshields appear flying through the air? Not doing much protection out there.

Can also protect the teeth getting knocked out especially for lineman.

is there no video replay in the NFL? I don't really follow it but got a bit hooked last night, and that looked pretty clear and obvious.

Automatic review on scores and turnovers, and most penalties are challengeable at the risk of a timeout as are a number of other referee rulings like whether a pass is complete. There's no challenge available for a penalty not given.

Yep, two stonking games. I've only watched the highlights but the Patriots game was great stuff. Rams have done well but the Pats will have them in the big one.

Being a Rams fan I really hope they can put one over on the Patriots. It is 17 years since the Rams last made it to the Superbowl and there has been a lot of shit seasons in that time. It was the Patriots that they met in the Superbowl 17 years ago and Brady and Belichick stopped a great Rams team. The Pats have subsequently gone on to build one of if not the the most successful NFL dynasties in the professional era. Whether you love them or you hate them every one know who the Patriots are.
It would make a pretty interesting story of the Patriots stopping the greatest show on turf 17 years ago for the Rams to come back with a team that is now braking records from that era and beat the Patriots.
It is going to be a nail biting affair, both teams have the ability to be explosive and creative on offence, the Pats have a stout defense but i think this is where the Rams edge them.

I have donned my lucky Patriots t shirt (worn for the 28-3 game), gathered snacks and beverages and have my sleeping bag ready for when the heating goes off.

Let's goooooooooo!!!

The key is always getting past the half time show which is Maroon 5, yuk. Where's Katy Perry when you need her?

My plan for the half time show is switch the nfl to the iPad and watch an episode of tin star. Have no interest in maroon 5 so hope that will get me through.

Also got a blanket ready for when the heating goes off!

Only just getting back into NFL this year. Used to watch years ago on Channel 4 with Gary Imlach (what a legend). Won't be staying up tonight though. Will see if I can watch the highlights on www.nflgamepass.com tomorrow, or failing that the NFL Show with Chappers & Co...

I’m up for the duration. One of the benefits of working for myself I guess.

Heart wants the Rams, Head says the Patriots. Can the Rams shut down the Pats running game? It’ll be won and lost in the trenches I reckon.

shite shite shite.

A little bit of history: Football has a history of player deaths: Between 1900 and 1905 alone, 45 players died. Hence, the padding.

With regard to the stop-start factor: I agree with sockpuppet's succinct summary: Saying football is too stop-start is a bit like saying "chess is a little too tactical", or "water is a bit wet, isn't it?" or "soccer involves too much kicking for my taste".

Arranged to do a late shift today so that I could watch the SB and have a sleep in... but come yesterday afternoon I wasnt that bothered.... But brainwave !! ... Taped it and watched it this morning instead

Much better experience ... cup of tea and toast, fast forward the boring bits.... which to be fair was pretty much only Maroon 5 !!

Thought it was a good game ... great D as opposed to poor O being the reason for the low score.

Great that Edelman got the MVP ... as much as no one really likes the Pats and there is good reason to dislike Brady and Gronk, Edelman is a fantastic player.

Oh... and as a Chargers fan definitely feel better to have seen the Pats do the same job on others, as they did to us.

I think we can all agree that it was my lucky T-shirt that made the difference.

I might have woken the dog up shouting when the Pats scored the TD.

As a Pats fan I get why some people would dislike Brady, no idea on Gronk unless they're jealous I mean have you SEEN his GF??? https://www.instagram.com/camillekostek/
