Right, after loads of recent updates to the OS my Nexus 7 is absolute shite, and I'm thinking of replacing it with a Hudl.

How easily will stuff transfer over - if i have a Google account, which i do, when i log in on the new Hudl to Google, will it transfer stuff over? Calendar, emails, apps, Kindle, websites, etc?

I realise I'll have to do a degree of setup, some online banking for example is device specific and i'll have to get it to recognise the new device, but is it an easy task in general?

Yes it's very easy, if a little time consuming

Have you tried doing a full reset of the Nexus - that might well cure any issues and save you some cash.

My old 1st Gen Nexus 7 is the same. The battery life is a bit better, but the spped of everything is rubbish.

I'm hoping someone will reply to this thread with a solution!

Bump

I've just done the same.

I used an app to back up all my apps but google play actually automatically reinstalled all the apps anyway (well I had to select the right options).

I've since done a factory reset on the N7 which then also triggered the lollipop update and with minimal apps installed on it, it seems to run much better now.

Calendar, emails, apps, Kindle, websites, etc?

Assuming you mean an online calendar, yes. Apps, yes. Kindle yes. Websites - if you use chrome, yes.

The things that won't go over are downloads, music (unless it's streamed), etc. Or progress on some games and so on if they don't allow you to sync to the internet.
