I don't see the point of the whole enquiry - it was pretty obvious that pretty much everyone would get away with most of it, the damage to their reputations had already been done. A shambolic waste of time and money.

This was a criminal trial not an inquiry and one of the people in charge of it all was convicted.

18 months for Coulson.

Doesn't 'feel' enough but I'm not the judge - max was 2 years.

Miskiw and Thurlbeck sentenced 6 months

ironically, her name can be revealed because the journalists accused of paying her have been cleared of all charges.

although there is another case ongoing with similar charges.

The CPS chose the wrong law to prosecute them under - journalists are not public servants and shouldn't have been prosecuted using laws that only apply to public servants.

Doesn't mean what they did was right/moral just not illegal under that law.
