To win the lottery, buy lots of bikes and live somewhere in the mountains in another country which is substantially warmer and less wet than the UK.

Get mobile and out on the bike again by the end of March, and reasonably fit again by June.
Maybe even back to being one of the local fast boys by the end of Autumn

Sodding slipped discs / spinal operations!!

Not be as fat and unfit at the end of 2014 as the start, anything else is a bonus.

Lose a couple of stone, and train to be fitter. Not super athlete fit but just fitter would be nice!

1. Enter at least one run (tick, HM in March), one XC bike and one tri/AR this year.
2. Get back to 2009 race weight (4lbs since XMas is a start)
3. Sort work issues out
4. Look after my (widowed) mum
5. Read a lot more, watch a lot less

Get a good time in the Coniston end to end swim, and do the Corryvrecken swim.
Break 6 minutes for 400m swim.
Try and refind my motivation for cycling.

Thanks, Sat here, perched on the front of the sofa wearing an oh so fetching corset after my discoectomy on the 27th!

Feels better though, almost like I'm going to recover at last!

Oh, and forgot to add, would like to do a tough mudder in autumn.

Finish the flat that was euphemistically sold to me as "in need of improvement" three years ago...

Keep my back problems under control now I've found a decent osteopath

Either get on the works post grad development scheme or get another job

Do more around the house and garden

Eat better and ride better

Spend more time with my wife and my folks, whilst trying to keep them apart if they can't/won't be civil to each other

2 days ago I wanted to quit my job, ditch my girlfriend and leave the country.

Now the plan is ride bikes more and not have a breakdown along the way.

Ride the Walney to Whitby C2C, and do more distance rides on the road bike. Ride from here to my friends house in the North Lakes.

Do much much less procrastinating. If I could do that then all the things I keep wanting to do would be done.

Find a job which means I can come home every night.

Appreciate my wife more, for the amount of stuff she has to put up with.
