Big fan of Ardbeg, Talisker and the like but never tried Bowmore

Well just cracked open a 15 yr old and it's very nice. Smooth and yummy

I like Bowmore. I'm not sure which one I like exactly, but they do a nice smokey one.

New whiskey

🙄

As a rule, American and Irish prefer ‘whiskey’ and the Scots, Canadians and the rest of the world’s single malt makers prefer ‘whisky’[/url]

That's the problem with these whisky threads. I'm not really in the mood for one. One of these treads pops up and BANG! - it's downstairs to the kitchen, glass in hand.....

Strange one Darrell, most people I know find the Islay Whisky's through Bowmore.

I've been a fan for over 20 years, the BIL bought me a 20 year old bottle of cask strength Bowmore for my 40th a few years back 😀

I'd say Bowmore is the Islay whisky I've drunk the least of too. I should probably take steps to rectify this...

If you fancy a cheaper Bowmore then I'd recomend Sainsbury's own brand Islay whisky as I'm almost certain it's Bowmore, or at least tastes the same.
