I've seen threads on here in the past, so know there some knowledge to be plumbed on here..
We have a 2nd hand 32" HD TV I bought 3/4 years ago (& was probably 3/4 years old then), so I'm guess anything newer will be better?
There no getting above 49" as it to sit in the corner of our room (a 55" simply won't fit.. I made a template.. it doesn't fit 😥 ), and apparently according to she who must be obeyed a 45" would be better.
This means only one seat is really in a optimal position view distance wise, but reality is a bitch & there no getting away from it (hey it gunna be better than the current 32"). What do I need to worry about spec wise, 10bit, HDR, or other random techno mumbo jumbo I've never heard of or really fancy spending a month translating/learning, to get a decent TV without being sucked in to worrying about specification for the sake it?
First off budget.
Then what are you planning on using it with?
I’m browsing just now and favouring the Samsung UE49MU7000 as it gets great reviews and fast enough to work with a PS4 Pro.
Budget, I was looking at a 55" OLED, so quite flexible but have other stuff I'd like to buy too.
Use to watch TV/movies absolutely no gaming.
Should maybe mention a centralized stand is a must, as the cabinet cannot be as big as the TV.
Do all modern tellies need a soundbar?
amazon
Do all modern tellies need a soundbar?
Our Samsung doesn't, but I think it defies is slimness and bucks the norm. I've got full surround for when I want it though
Most do have crap so speakers mind you
Do all modern tellies need a soundbar?
Yes, TBH, because there is nowhere to put any sort of speaker bigger than what you’d get in an iPad.
Do all modern tellies need a soundbar?
Slowly becoming better not as good as a proper system but as they’re improving more a nice extra than a necessity. TBH they’re bigger than iPads so plenty of room especially those that have the seperate connection box.
If you’re going OLED then it’s the usually answer of LG and Samsung leading the way.
