Ok so looking to get a new TV, i know we always have these on STW.
Do you recommend LED, LCD OR Plasma?
Anyone know of any good deals?
Fancy 40 inch minimum as its going in a big room so doesn't look out of place, at round about £400. Would i really save that much waiting until after Christmas?
By the way i've never had a new fandagled flat screen before so i have no experience with them, hence my post. Still got a mega old style 1
What you got for me guys?
Ok we'll start with LED and LCD are essentially the same thing and the Vs Plasma argument is all down to persona preference.
I just bought a 40" LED Samsung, with SmartTV. Very impressed. It was a more than 400 but we had some Currys vouchers so that's why we weren't so price sensitive. SmartTv is a good idea - on demand films from LoveFilm - very handy, and iPlayer too.
Panasonic plasma smart tv,end of discussion.
Ps.wouldnt get hung up on 3d either, personally I,d prefer to be able to use I player and other apps than sitting like a blues brother refugee in my lounge.
Nah not going to bother with 3d, not even got HD yet haha
Seen a 40" LCD 1080p freeview at argos for £350, probably do for me i think
But which one stops the blurry lag thing?
My 3yr old Samsung 40" LCD has no lag issues whatsoever

Pretty much a thing of the past.
You'll get better tellies than Argos ones if you look around. Plenty of online retailers will do better deals.
And don't forget to Quidco!
No way, I was down in Dartys earlier. they were all crap with things moving across the screen!
