Anyone have any experience? Really like the look/features/kit/warranty/mpg on these. The one I am looking at has 3.5 years Toyota warranty left to run, if I modify the van ie fit rear seats, carpet rear, rear windows etc, will it void the warranty?

Seems to me that I can get an almost new version of this van for £1000s less than a VW with twice as much kit.

its only really a Toyota badge. Its a French built PSA van so keep that in mind if you're imagining 'Japanese reliability'.

So you may find better prices / more choice with the Citroen/ Peugeot badged versions.

And if you're comparing to a VW keep in mind that the smallest of the 3 sizes of Proace is a fair bit smaller than a Transporter so you might not necessarily be comparing like for like

This??

If so Yes.

I had one on test for a long weekend before deciding on something else.

In this guise it was pretty damn brilliant. Plenty of decent useable kit and space and access/conversion to “midivan” was simple. Seat remove or fold, don’t go flat obvz but the backs fold flat and the front passenger seat folds flat so massive length space. Can easily get bikes in.

It doesn’t take too much space on the road either, the driving position is great and the footprint is similar to a big estate car.

Well worth considering IMO

Don't carpet rear, much easier to keep clean without carpet as you can hose/sweep.

Thanks everyone.

Yes I know it’s a Citroen/Peugeot with a Toyota badge, it’s the warranty I like.

Not quie VW like for like but VW really take the mick with their ridiculous second hand prices and if my mates vans are anything to go by they are no more reliable than anything else.

When I say carpet the rear I don’t mean the floor, that will be rubberised flooring.

The Medium seems an ideal simple for someone like me that will be 90% just me and bike in van and still big enough to kip in.

I think the one above is the Verso? I intend to get the van version and convert it hence saving myself about 6k in the process!

Makes sense.

It drove like a big estate .. not really a van

My brother has the LWB Peugeot version and highly rates it. He owns the company and tends to buy Renault Trafic vans but this new one is the best van in the fleet by a long way. It's only a year old but very comfy, easy to drive, reliable etc. etc. Better than the Trafics, Master, Transit etc.

Fitting the extra bits you mentioned could violate the warranty. You'll be cutting thru the bodywork to fit glass. It's certainly worth checking with them before you buy one.

This would be top of my list if it was actually produced by Toyota. I don't want to buy new / nearly new so reliability is a massive factor.

Size, features and looks are as good as it gets for a bike hauling daily driver over here.

Possibly all academic as Toyota got back to me saying no warranty if modified!
